The funeral services for the late Mr. Andre Cross, who departed this life on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., from the Greater St. Luke Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Reverend Dr. Marvin Brown will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Mr. Courtney Andre’ Cross, affectionately known as “Ticky”, was born on September 22, 1965 to the parentage of Mrs. Feltine Shepherd Cross and the late Mr. Arthur Cross.
Courtney was educated in the Turner County Public School System and graduated from Turner County High School in 1983. He furthered his education by attending Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Florida.
Courtney gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined the New Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia.
Courtney worked at Golden Peanut Company in Ashburn, Georgia, where he was a loyal employee. Ticky was well known and well loved by his family, friends, and co-workers. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and stood by his team every season!
On November 5, 2023, our beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend left this world unexpectedly. Ticky is soaring high with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Courtney was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Cross, his sister, Mrs. Shawna Cross-Holley, his grandparents, Mrs. Vera Lee Shepherd, Mr. Robert Lee Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Cross, and his aunt, Mrs. Mildred Cross-Register.
Loved ones left to cherish Ticky’s memories are his son, Aadrain (Kristyn) Cross of Warner Robins, Georgia; five grandchildren, Kennadi, Karrington, Kobi, KhoriAnn, and Aasher, all of Warner Robins, Georgia; his loving mother, Mrs. Feltine Cross of Ashburn, Georgia; a sister, Stephanie (Willie, Jr.) Mobley of Milledgeville, Georgia; a brother, Rodriquez (Charity) Cross of Orlando, Florida; aunts, Gloria Cross (Fred) Allen, Kathleen Daniels, Lou Ella Lawson, Vetta (Hubert) Taylor; uncles, Clay Walker, Sr., Ben (Lue) Walker, Terry (Felicia) Walker; and a host devoted cousins and friends.
