Obituary For Frances Jones Sanders

Frances “Fran” Jones Sanders, age 91, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8th 2023 surrounded by her family. Frances was born in Calhoun Falls, South Carolina on February 21st 1932.

The funeral will be held at Solid Rock Global Methodist Church 3551 Trent Rd, Sunday, November 12th at 2 pm with the visitation prior starting at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Fran’s name to the Solid Rock Global Church Building Fund P. O. Box 12187. New Bern, NC 28561.

She is survived by her three children Johnny (Sara), Lisa(Dan), and Vicki(Jimmy); her seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Fran is preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Coleman Sanders; and her oldest child Monroe Coleman Sanders Junior. The two most important things in her life were Faith and Family. She lovingly served at Trinity United Methodist Church for many years. She will be dearly missed but we are thankful for the many cherished memories we have with her.

Oh how heaven must be rejoicing! I can see Mrs. Stockton, Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Daly, hrs. Herring, Mrs. Brinson, Mrs.Garris, Mrs.Thrift, my mom, and so many more running to greet Mrs. Sanders! What a wonderful servant she was. So blessed to have known and loved her. Love and peace to her family and friends.

I have great memories of Fran from years ago at ball games with Trinity etc. She was an awesome lady and you were so blessed to call her mom! Our love and prayers are with you all! Debbie snd Ken

I remember Aunt Francis talking about the heat & auto air conditioning ,she said when you get out of ac cooled car the heat makes your head swell & hurt,I didn't know what she meant until much later but now I fully understand.♥️
