Mr. Leonard Washington, 76, of Spartanburg, SC, entered eternal rest on November 7, 2023. He was born January 11, 1947, to the late Hattie Mae Washington and Tommy Lee Washington.

Mr. Washington was a faithful member, Deacon, and choir member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He was a lifetime Mason of Pride of Spartanburg Lodge 211 and a Vietnam War veteran. Mr. Washington worked at The Draper and Spartanburg Regional Hospital for many years.

Left to treasure fond and loving memories are: his daughter, Dr. Boisha Wofford of Tampa, FL; granddaughter, Kaelyn Wofford of Tampa, FL; companion, Dr. Glenda Sims; four nephews, Timothy Washington of Rock Hill, SC, Anthony Washington (Sandra) of Spartanburg, SC, Kent (Alicia) Washington of Lyman, SC, Travis Washington of Spartanburg, SC; two nieces, Denise Washington of Lyman, SC and India Washington of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Mr. Washington is preceded in death by: his son-in-law, Mr. Brian Wofford; his sister, Mildred Washington; his brothers, Robert Washington and Marvin Washington; his half-siblings, Sonny, Licita, and Calvin; and nephew, Ronnie Washington.

A Celebration of the Life of Leonard Washington will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 445 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will follow in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC.

He will lie in repose from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at The John Stinson Woodward Funeral Home.
