James Brent Chambers Sr. affectionately known as “Red” transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on October 30, 2023 at the age of 71 after A courageous battle with cancer. James was born on October 24, 1952 in Gaffney, South Carolina to the late Orozolar Chambers. James is pre-deceased in death by his wife Sabrina Chambers, a sister Vernerva Chambers Hall and a brother Hoarce Calvin Chambers. James graduated high school in Danbury, CT where his love of music began while learning to play multiple instruments. James was a man of many talents, his most recent position a dedicated forklift driver for Antolin in Spartanburg, SC was held until he retired due to his illness. James was a family man he loved spending time at family gatherings, listening to music and enjoying different cultures of food. One of his favorite places to be was the beach. His contagious laugh, his electric smile, and his inspiring attitude will truly be missed. James leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters; Renee Joseph (Ulrick), Misha Miller (Tracy): four sons James Chambers Jr., Phillip Davis, Dan Wilkins (Brooke),Joshua Wilkins (Shantell); 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Virgie Wilson (Jack) of Bridgeport, CT, Mrs. Kathy Blue (Willie) of New Canaan, CT and Mrs. Jurushia Blue (LeRoy) of Long Beach, CA one brother Mr. Jeffrey Chambers (Ayeska) of Hartford, CT , one brother-in-law Alonzo Hall of Bridgeport, CT A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Livestream will be available via Facebook on the TEEFERGUSONREPORT.
