Funeral service for Ella Maddox, 65, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, October 27, 2023, at Christ Temple Holiness Church, 610 Clanton Street, Opelika, AL, 36801, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Bishop Kenneth Carter will officiate.
Mrs. Maddox, who passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born February 3, 1958, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Mrs. Maddox will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
“Kate” as she was affectionately known by family and friends, enjoyed taking pictures, cooking and was known as the community’s candy lady. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching football and was an avid Alabama fan, “Roll Tide”.
