Obituary For Cora Lee Davis

Stone Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Cora Davis of Melbourne, FL.

The Lord called our beloved mother home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

Cora Lee Kee Davis was born on January 6, 1925, in Lando, South Carolina to John and Pearl Walker Kee. She attended school in Chester and Rock Hill, SC. Cora Lee joined Big Calvary Baptist Church and was baptized there at the age of 6. She accepted Christ Jesus in her life and depended on Almighty God to Order Her Steps. At the age of 17, she chose to leave her humble upbringing and relocate to Millen, Georgia and then on to Florida. She married Charles β€œCharlie” Davis. Cora was one of the seventeen children was born from marriage of John and Pearl Kee. All siblings have preceded her in death.

Cora Lee worked for the Brevard County School Board and Radiation Electronics for over 25 years. She was member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Melbourne, Florida.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories two devoted sons, Serling (Debra) and Izell (Sharilyn), four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two nieces, Sylvoa Moore Graves and Marilyn Moore of Charlotte, NC, two nephews Ricky Moore and Melvin Moore of Charlotte, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

A son John Davis, longtime companion Barney Collier and a special friend Ruby Mae Small proceeded her in death.

A special thanks of gratitude to Madlyn Jones and Martha Devoe for their love and support.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any pain for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4
