Mother Nadine Booker
The Sun Rises: Mother Nadine Giddens Booker, daughter of Deacon Sampson Giddens and Mittie Rene Giddens, was born on April 22, 1944.
The Sun Shines: Nadine Giddens attended school in Pavo, Georgia. On February 15, 1963, she married Willie Paul Booker and moved to the Booker farm and to their union ten children were born. Nadine Booker set the example of a Christian wife, devoted to her husband
for fifty-eight years. She was also a loving and nurturing mother to their children and a friend to many.
Nadine Booker became a faithful member of St. John’s Holiness Church, now True Born Church of God, which her mother in-law, Mother Presley, founded and pastored. With faithful attendance and support, Nadine Booker was later called by God as minister and later served as a church mother. Mother Booker ensured her children regularly attended and served in various capacities within
the church. Mother Booker continued in membership and support under Pastor Robert Reynolds until her passing.
Mother Booker possessed many traits which made her special: she was a hard-working housewife, an amazing cook, a gifted seamstress, and she was known for being hospitable. She would sew fabrics for weeks just to make three-piece suits for all her children for Easter Sunday and other special occasions. She was a mother who taught her children how to be good, work hard, have respect for others, and love the Lord. Mother Booker’s impact on her children will last a lifetime.
