Obituary For Theresa Brock

Theresa Brock was born in Greensboro, North Carolina April 4, 1942 to parents Gertrude Agurs and Jerry C. Martin. She departed this life surrounded by her loving family on October 16, 2023

Theresa was a loving mother to four children, Anthony, Eunice,
Felicia, and Tammy. Theresa was the second oldest of six children. She spent most of her formative and young adult years growing up in Greensboro North Carolina. Theresa had a very engaging and outgoing personality. She thoroughly enjoys serving at her church as an usher. She loved the Lord love oh, she loved her church and she loved her church, as OK, she loved serving at her church as an usher, she loved guarding, most of all she was a caregiver taking care of both her parents until they both passed. God blessed her with a green thumb. She loved cooking soul food and entertaining family and friends with her favorite dishes. Just to name a few, her homemade biscuits, fried chicken, sweet potato pies, lima beans and corn and pintos.. Her hobbies were arts and crafts, gardening, baking cakes, and pies for her church bake sales.

Theresa loved her kids, grandkids and family with all her heart.

Theresa retired from the state after 25 years as a custodial environmentalist. She continued to work after her retirement. She was a very kind and caring person, she was very humble in her existence. She was always willing to help anyone who needed her. She loved gospel music. She was a member of Believers Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude Agurs and Jerry C. Martin, son Anthony Martin, and her sister, Betty Coe.

Our dearest Theresa will be missed by all who loved her dearly. She is survived by her children, Eunice Clements (Calvin J. Clements) of Melbourne, FL, Felicia Brock of Greensboro, NC, and Tammy Brock of Washington, DC, granddaughter, Rica S. Clements; Siblings James Brock, Shirley Best, Cora Shaw, Cornelia Powers; Cousin and Caretaker Robin Riley and a host of loving grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 1pm Believers Missionary Baptist Church 235 Ward Rd. Greensboro, NC. 12:30pm Visitation. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3910 Forest Lawn Dr. Greensboro, NC.
