Obituary For Mary Lynn Williams Howard Johnson Jett

Mary Lynn Williams Howard Johnson Jett born on Friday October 13th, 1938. She went to be with the Lord October 17th, 2023 and Atlanta Georgia after a short battle with heart failure.

Mary J was born to Eddy Roe and Lucille Atkinson a Woodstock in Marietta Georgia. They later moved to Knoxville Tennessee where Mary Jett was born.

Mary was a member of Fern Street missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member on the usher board.

She retired from Fort Sanders hospital after 20 plus years she loved life enjoyed working in her yard dancing and fishing. She was a wonderful mother of seven daughters.

Preceded in the death by her parents husband Greenville jet Rufus Johnson and Emmanuel Howard. Daughter Amanda Stout, Grandsons Emmanuel D. Howard Sr. and Maurice Booker Jr. Great-grandchildren Maurice Howard, Jason Carter Jr., and J'lynn Mathis. Two sisters Della Stone, Betty Glenn.

She will Be Loved and missed by daughters Cheryl Thomas, Darlyne Howard, Betty Gilmore (Donald Sr.), Barbara Williams, Valencia Thompson, and Margie Warren (Treavor Sr.) son Keith Thomas, Grandville Jett Jr. (Theda). Grandchildren Tamela Johnson, Henry Thomas Jr, Lisa, Nekeya, Laketta Howard, Melvin Howard, Donald Gilmore Jr., Daymetrie Williams, Marilyn Bryant (David), Turkeya Smith (John), Attallah Stout, Ricky Stout, Shenima Styles, Lagarria Garrett, Jeffery Mathis Jr. (Razeal), Valencia Booker (Charles) Shaton Jackson (Diondre Sr.) Treavor Warren Jr. ShyNyce, Jonta'a, A'kese Jett.

Several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren family to include Williams, Roe, Smith, Callaway, Atkinson, Turner, McBee, and Oliver Family.

Family will receive friends at 3729 Catalpa Avenue Knoxville Tennessee 37914.

The family will receive on Thursday October 26th, 2023 at Fern Street Missionary Baptist Church from 11-11:30 a.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11:30 a.m.

The final resting place will be held at the TN Vet Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. immediately following the service. A dove release will conclude.
