Obituary For Linda Joyce Williams

( September 30, 1952--October 5, 2023 )

WINONA--Funeral services for Linda Williams, 71, is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11 am at Jones Valley Community Church of God in Christ with Supt. Melton R. Timmons, eulogist.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park under the direction on John R Harmon Undertaking Company.

Ms. Williams was born on September 30, 1952 to the late Johnnie and Eddie Mary Carr Johnson and transitioned on October 5, 2023.

She was a graduate of Winona High School Class of 1971 and attended Tyler Jr. College. Ms. Williams was a member of Starville Church of the Living God where she was an usher and choir member.

She worked in food service and loved to cook. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Betty Clarkson and Billie Williams. Left to cherish her precious memories are two daughters: Yulandras Williams of Tyler and Kristi Williams Baker of Grand Prairie, two sisters: Vernetta Young of Arlington, Texas and Rosie Chavers of Duncanville, Texas, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Public viewing will be on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
