Obituary For John A. Miller

John Authur Miller gained his heavenly wings on October 10, 2023. John was preceded in death by his parents, Paris Miller and Minnie Lee Miller; brothers James Miller, Franklin Miller; sisters Louise Tolliver and Willie Bell Wright and his loving daughter, Yasmond “Mechi” Miller.

He graduated in 1968 from Floyd T Corry High School. He was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and brother. He was affectionately known as “Killer Miller” for his athletic ability on the football field. He enjoyed watching sports especially the UGA Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Linda Lawrence Miller, sons Orenzal (Yolanda) Miller (Covington GA), Michael (Dr. Yohance Whiteside) Miller (Philadelphia, PA), and daughter Tabitha (Santigus) Parrott (Greensboro, GA); his grandchildren, Jamal Miller, O’Ryan Miller, William (Xanrhea) Mitchell, Dylan Parrott, Damaria Fair, Jayde Parrott and Aaliyah Miller; siblings Irene (Jerome) Reynolds, Ronald Miller, Donald (Leila) Miller, Marvin (Katie) Miller, Hattie (Harvey) Warner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, 11am from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church 4601 Athens Hwy, Greensboro, GA 30642.
