Jimmy Fuller was the eighth child born to Elige and Neria C. Fuller on July 26, 1945, in Sallis, MS. He received his formal education from Long Creek High School in Sallis, MS, class of 1963. After completion, he moved to Chicago, IL to begin his next chapter of life. During this chapter, he was blessed to meet the love of his. On September 26, 1970, Jimmy married Alberta Tate. The Lord blessed this union with two sons: Eric Deshun and Derek Randle.
Jimmy was a servant of the people. He dedicated many years to semi-pro baseball leagues of Chicago and to the youth of Kosciusko as a Little League and Dixie League baseball coach at Northside Park. He worked hard to provide for his family and was devoted to his career of twenty-one years with the City of Kosciusko serving as Captain of the Kosciusko Police Department upon his retirement in 2010.
In obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ, Jimmy was baptized January 1976 at the Sheldon Heights Church of Christ in Chicago, IL. Upon return to Mississippi, he became a member of the Tipton Street Church of Christ in Kosciusko. He faithfully served as Sunday school teacher of the adult class and young people until his health failed. Upon transition of churches, he transitioned as a member to the South Huntington Street Church of Christ. When he was unable to attend in-person service he faithfully watched live stream service on Sundays and Wednesday night bible class.
On, October 6, 2023, in the afternoon hours, Jimmy departed this life at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents Elige and Neria C. Fuller; a sister, Bobby Fuller; four (4) brothers: Claude, Henry, Lacey, and Will Fuller.

Our sympathy and condolences to the family of our good brother and friend, Jimmy Fuller. Jimmy was soft spoken, but firm in his convictions. My family and I became well acquainted with Jimmy, Alberta, and their sons, Eric and Randy. Further, we got to know their extended families. In a way, besides our spiritual relationship, we felt like biological family members as well. Jimmy and Alberta opened their home to us, and even allowed our children to spend time with them when Pauline and I were away at times. We are forever indebted to the Fuller family. Most recently, Jimmy was a regular encourager of my, "Sunday Worship Reminder." I looked forward to his comments each Sunday morning. To Alberta, Eric, Randy and the whole family, our prayers are with you all. During this time of sorrow and grief, keep relying on the God of all comfort. He promises to give us peace through such times(John 14:27). May God bless you, and may Jimmy's memory live on through all who knew him well. Shalom, Eric Dawkins, Sr. and the Dawkins Family.
