Mrs. Sheryl Faye Washington, 70, of Columbus, GA passed Friday, October 6, 2023 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST. Thursday, October 12, 2023 at St. John A.M.E. Church, Columbus, GA with Rev. Dr. Johnny Cook , officiating and Rev. Jeffery B. Cooper, II, eulogist. Interment to follow 10:00 a.m. EST, Friday, October 13, 2023 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Matthew Washington, Jr.; daughter, Temika Washington; son, Brandon (Latrice) Washington; grandchildren, Shamaiya, Jalen, Jonathan, Jahhaad, Christian, Na’Riah, Reygan and Ace; two great grands, Je’Leah and Brayden; one sister, Viola Macklin; brothers, Alfred, Mark, Byron, Ezekiel, and Darrell; loving mother-in-law, Zadie Washington of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Al) Gainer and Drucilla (Tyrone) Hinkle, both of Columbus; brothers-in-law, Eugene Washington,Darius (Georgetta) Washington, Jasper (Phyllis) Washington and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
