Shirley Frances Gingrich passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 74 in Fort Mill, South Carolina. She died peacefully in her home while receiving loving care from her sister, Barbara Serrano, and her hospice team. Shirley was born on April 3, 1949, in Richwood, West Virginia, to her late parents Leora and Oliver Frame. She was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Frame.
Shirley was a caring individual who dedicated her life to helping others. She pursued a career as a nurse and used her skills to provide compassionate care to those in need. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her professional life, as she always welcomed people into her home who were in need of support.
Being a grandmother brought immense joy to Shirley's life, and she took great pride in her role. She adored her granddaughters, Elena Jones and Sharon Gingrich, and cherished the time she spent with them.
Shirley had a strong faith and was actively involved in her church community. She was a member of the Central Church of God in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she found solace and support among her church family.
In addition to her grandchildren, Shirley is survived by her son Brian (Ritchel) Gingrich and daughter Donna (Christopher) Jones. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Serrano and brother Ted (Adaline) Frame.
Shirley's life will be celebrated in a "Celebration of Life/Homecoming Service" on October 14, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Central Church of God in Charlotte, NC. The family will receive visitors at 10:30 am prior to the service.
