George knew Jesus and accepted him as his personal Lord & Savior and was baptized February 22, 2009 at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
Junebug, as known by childhood family and friends was one of the kindest people one could ever meet.
He was comedic, fun, loving and always living each day to the fullest. He was loved and spoken of with the highest regard by all who knew him and he reciprocated that love by his many acts of kindness to family, friends and strangers. He was an avid animal lover always finding homes for those without.
George was currently employed by Central Garden and Pet. He loved his job of delivering animals to pet stores in several states making life-long friends with the owners.
His first love however was cooking and catering. Many met him daily for breakfast and lunch at Kwik Sak and Bud's. He also worked many years for McConnell Catering for and even started his own catering company called Southern Comfort Catering with his sister and brother in law. He was a great chef and he earned the name "Chicken George" after his creation of "Chicken on a Stick" for Nashville's weekly Dancing in the District.
George was filled with positive energy and refused to allow negativity to dominate his life. No matter how bad the situation, his response was always, "IT'S ALL GOOD!" He will be truly missed by many near and far.
