Obituary For Alice Padgett

Alice Ruth “Sis” Tinsley Padgett age 73, of Iron Station, North Carolina transitioned on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Atrium Health-Lincolnton, Lincolnton, North Carolina. She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on December 17, 1949 to the late Rev. Thomas Tinsley, Sr. and Roxanna Cunningham Tinsley. She was married to the late Joseph Padgett.

She graduated from Newbold High School, retired from Robert Bosch Tool. Alice was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Funeral Service is Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Churchwith burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. There will be a public walk through on Saturday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

I am so heartbroken. Alice have always held a special place in my heart. We would talk and laugh on the phone for hours. We have worked together at 2 places. I especially loved how she would share with me that when she got married, they went to McDonald's to eat afterwards. I laughed till I cried. So many memories I will never forget. I am absolutely heartbroken, hearing about the passing about my dear friend Alice. We met when we were both 18 . She came to my first baby shower in 1970 she was a wonderful person and a great friend. We kept in touch over these years but never forgot each other. The last time we spoke we giggled and laughed like we were 18 again .
