Mr. Lansen Nehemiah Leach, 38, of High Point, NC entered into eternal rest early Sunday October 1, 2023, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC. He was born on July 1, 1985, in Virginia Beach, VA. He was the first born to Thomas L. Leach and Sheryl Johnson Leach. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas M. Leach, Shirley M. Turner, Joseph D. and Ida M. Johnson.
Lansen attended Guilford County Schools and graduated from Southwest Guilford High School in 2003. He attended Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, NC.
He loved sports, he was very talented and played both basketball and baseball. He started playing sports at a young age with several AAU teams. While at Elizabeth City State University, he played point guard, and they won the CIAA Championship in 2007. He continued his basketball career with the Augusta Groove semi-pro team. Lansen played baseball for Southwest and ECSU.
Those left to cherish his memories with his parents are; his children; Khloe, Kyra, Cameron, Grayson, Lansen Jr., Lael and Lena; his brother Darius (Lauren) Leach; his sister Samone (Tavon) Wilson; his grandparents, Sylvia Leach and Leslie Turner; nephews, Jaylen, Tavon Jr, Christopher, and Tyler; a host of aunt, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillps Funeral Service, Inc.
Thank you for giving me one of my greatest blessings in life, our daughter Khloe. We miss you and I hope our girl makes you proud. I know she has one of the best guardian angels, now.
