Shamar Taylor

Shamar O'Brien Taylor, 36, departed this earthly dwelling and took his rest with the Lord on September 29, 2023. He was born in High Point, NC, on January 19, 1987, to Ardria (Kate) Bridges-Mitchell and Robert Lee Taylor II. He was preceded death by his grandfather, Alonzo Bridges, Robert L. Taylor Sr., and grandmother, Lucy Mae Taylor.

He attended High Point Central High School where he was a member of the Graduating Class of 2005. Shamar was an All- Conference Defensive Back/Punt Returner for the Mighty Black Bison football team. He also was on High Point Central’s 2004 football team when they finished #2 in the state.

Shamar graduated from Forsyth Technical College in 2016 with an Associate Degree in Carpentry and was a Certified Lineman, he was also on the Dean’s List. He was a sub-contractor specializing in home improvements and owned his own business (Taylor’s Home Improvements) doing home renovations. He loved working with his blessed hands. Shamar took great pride in his accomplishments, his work, and especially with his family.

Those left to cherish precious memories are; his mother, Ardria Bridges-Mitchell (Mario); father, Robert Lee Taylor II (Nadean); brother, Robert L. Taylor, III. (Christyn); son, Amari Taylor; daughter, Breonna Taylor; nephews, Chon (Champ) Taylor, Kobe Jacob Taylor; special friend, Jessica Woods; special daughter, Isabella Woods; special brother, Darrius Johnson; grandmother, Mrs. Asalee Bridges; aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins, friends and family, that will miss him dearly.

A private funeral service will be held.
