Obituary For Walter Lee "Walt Lee" Jackson

Walter Lee “Walt Lee” Jackson was born March 29, 1959, in Bartow, GA to the parentage of late A.B. Jackson and Leola Hall Jackson.

He made his transition from labor reward Thursday, September 28th, 2023 at a local hospital.

Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. at Pierce Grove Baptist Church, 3673 Bostic Mill Road, Bartow, GA 30413.

Interment will be held in the Tarver Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 4411 Tarver Grove Baptist Church Road, Bartow, GA.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, Oct. Oct. 6 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

“Walt Lee” was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and was a 1977 graduate of Wadley High School.

Early in life he united with Tarver Grove Baptist Church where he remained until his demise fulfilling all of his duties assigned. Early years he took pride in being a member of T. G. A softball team in Louisville GA. He also served as troupe leader of Jefferson County Boy Scouts and Snowden Lodge #216..

He retired at Cooper Machine Shop where he was a welder. He was also owner of Jackson Lawn Care Service where touched many lives with a smile making sure that his work represented him.

Walter Lee is preceded in death by his parents, A.B. Jackson, Leola Jackson, a sister Sherylene Jackson and mother- in- law Elizabeth Gibbons.

Survivors include his lovely wife of eleven years Angela Gibbons Jackson, Wadley, Georgia. Sons: Preantion Moye, Louisville, GA., Jakaden “Boo Boo” Jackson, Wadley, GA; sister and brother: Annie Jackson, Bartow, Ga, Ellen Jackson, Bartow, GA, Bobby Jackson, Barton, FL, Ernest Jackson, Bartow, GA, Daryl Braswell, Statesboro, GA; steps children; Antwonia (Charles) Opara, Aiken, SC, Tishira Gibbons, Augusta, GA; children he raised as his own: Kevin, Keith, Kayonna, Treanna, Kendra, Daryl, Lorrie, Bryant; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; Gracie Gibbons, Swainsboro, Ga, Tyrone (Pomeka) Gibbons, Davisboro, GA, Lee Brantley, Louisville, GA; grandchild: Marquis Price, Aiken, SC; aunts and uncle: Bessie Thomas, Wadley, GA, Lilly Mae Tarver, Bartow, GA, Daisy Green, Bartow, GA, Maggie Williams, Wadley, GA Martha Ann Howard, Wadley, GA, Ethel Anderson, Wadley, GA, Margaret Wilson, Marie (Leon) Stanley, Augusta, GA, Judith Walker, Dorothy Landers and Lyvette (Alton) McGruder, Louisville, GA, Samuel (Sandra) Walker, Elpaso, TX, Sylvester (Anita) Hill, Lithonia, GA, Pearl Stone, Davisboro, GA, Cleo Stone, Tommy Lee (Regina) Stone, Sandersville, GA, Gracie Johnson, California, Fred Stone, Jr, Atlanta, GA;.; a multitude of nieces, nephews, several great nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
