Mr. Ivan Nelson, of Cottondale, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, September 15, 2023 at his residence.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Henshaw Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 2730 Glastel Street in Cottondale, Florida where the Reverend Freddie Tellis is the pastor with Presiding Bishop Marquez Alexander officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethlehem African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery in Cottondale, Florida

Mr. Nelson will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Wife: Zina Nelson of Cottondale, Florida

Two Daughters: Tre'Mea Nelson of Marianna, Florida; and Shauntia (Brad) Elias of Saint Petersburg, Florida

And a host of brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
