Public viewing for Ms. Shaquana Denise Ruffin, 37, of Gaston, SC, will be held 3:00pm -6:00pm, Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg.

Shaquana Denise Ruffin, daughter of the late Lee Arthur Ruffin and Ella Mae Jones, was born July 16, 1986, in Brooklyn, New York. She departed this earthly life September 12, 2023.

Shaquana was a graduate of Airport High School, West Columbia, South Carolina. She then went on to receive an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University.

Shaquana was a homemaker.

Shaquana was preceded in death by her father, Lee Arthur Ruffin; maternal grandparents, George and Ellen Jones; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Lela Mae Ruffin.

Shaquana leaves to cherish fond memories, two sons: Jaden Elijah Harley and McKenzie Hammonds; her mother, Ella Mae Jones; two sisters: Keesha N. Ruffin and Taisha M. Ruffin; one brother, Lee A. Ruffin; one sister-in-law, Sara Smith; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
