To the Family of Rev. Mozie Lee Smith, What a fellowship what a joy divine when we all gathered for worship in the presence of God and Reverend Mother, as I sometimes called her. She was truly a powerhouse, a trailblazer, one of a kind, and Holy Spirit filled! Her Class Leader said she worshiped with every faith and if you knew her you knew that that was the truth! When I entered the ministry she had me preach at her church and always called me Autry. I remember one time I told her a sermon title and she matter of fact said, that's too long, but I used it anyway...lol... When her church burned down she still ministered wherever she could and when I was appointed to New St. James she would call me up Autry, I need a place for worship, she would give me the date and I would say alright come on over. Later on after being assigned to Churches in Jackson and then Benton Harbor we saw very little of each other. I had a difficult time catching up with her but when she needed me she reached out and found me. Reverend Mother worshiped and glorified God on earth so she has a place around His throne, singing holy, holy, holy is the Lamb of God. God bless you all, truly a life well lived. Servant of Christ, Rev. Minnie Autry
