Obituary For Christine Henry

Christine “Tina” Henry, 53, of New Bern, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Family visitation is Thursday, September 21, 2023; 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.

Her service is 12:00 PM, Friday, September 22, 2023 at Refreshing Lives 212 Kale Rd. The interment will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her mother, Christine Croner, New Bern; son, Da'Shon Henry, Fayetteville, NC; daughter, De’Asia Newkirk, New Bern; brothers, Otis Croner, Steven Croner; sisters, Doretha Croner and Dorothy Croner; three grandchildren, Za’Mayah, A’Naja, Amoni Henry.

Oh how I loved you Tina. Your smile, your laughter, your heart! You had joy unspeakable and everyone saw it all across your face. You lit up like a Christmas tree when your beautiful eyes connected with someone you knew and even with those you didn't. You made friends with strangers so easily. You loved people like Jesus did. I am not sure why you were called home so early but someday we all will know. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". I met "auntie" only a few months ago. She and my mom were roommates and in that short of time we all became family. To Grandma Christine and the rest of the family we send our heartfelt condolences. Thank u all for looking out for my mom when visiting auntie Tina. She was a sweet person and we are so glad that we could spend these last few months with her!! May God give you all peace that surpasses all understanding!!
