May God's grace and love surround the family and friends of my aunt Evelyn Moore and bring you peace and comfort, and know that you are not alone. Evelyn was one of my favorite aunts and also a Favorites and beloved playmate. We all had Nick names: zip(ZADDIE),punkin(OREA), jeannie bug(DOROTHY), and monkey(EVELYN). We went on many playful adventures. We often played on biddy Hill, which is above grandma's house with the chicken coop. we often gathered the eggs, which never made it to the table, because we boiled them in a tin can, and had them for luncch up on the hill. We often went fishing in the creek down by the spring and caught fish, and sometimes crawfish or crawdads. Sometimes we spent the whole day playing down by the spring. We gathered all kinds of fruit on our adventures: peaches, plums, blackberries, apples, and pears. Occasionally we would sneak into the smokehouse And sneak a jar of canned fruit. Canned peaches was my brothers favorite, but one time we did get caught! You might say we were regular little scavengers. Sometimes we would sit on grandmas porch, shelling A mess of peas are butter beans for dinner. Then we would skip down the road to the spring, scattering the hulls of the peas and butter beans along the road while singing: " a Tisket a Tasket, a green and yellow basket..." These are fond memories of some of the time that we had fun playing with my aunt Evelyn as kids. I am grateful for the joy, kindness, playfulness, zest, and enthusiasm which aunt Evelyn had for life. I will cherish these memories forever! With joyful celebration, and in loving memory of my aunt and playmate Evelyn S. moore. Your niece (daughter of Fannie) Dorothy J, Pace Buckner,MD and monkey(Evelyn)
