On Monday, September 4, 2023, Lloyd McCormick, 44, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital.

Lloyd was born on April 13, 1979 in St. Augustine, Florida, and spent his early childhood years in Hastings, FL before moving to Palatka. He attended E. H. Miller School from where he graduated in 2000.

Lloyd was known by many as “Eggy.” He had a deep love for everyone with whom he came in contact. Lloyd was a very gentle and humble young man who loved the Lord. He loved playing his gospel music, enjoyed being with family, and loved talking with friends and those special ones who took time out to talk with him.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Rosa Lee McCormick, and his aunt, Carrie White.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Missionary Linda McCormick; father, Richard Boyd; his sisters, Katrice McCormick and Herronica Frazier, both of Palatka; aunts, Claretha Alexander, Emily Williams, Beaulah Jones, and Deborah Brown; niece, Karaysia McCormick; nephews, Tekevion Frazier, Lil’ Terrance Tobler, Joshua Twiggs, Tremarion Jones, and Jeritz Jones; and a host of cousins and loving friends.

The McCormick family will receive friends and the community 5-6 p.m., Friday, September 8, at the Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 9, at The Palatka House of God Church, Bishop Gilbert L. Evans, Jr., Pastor.
