Obituary For Henry Leon Parker

Mr Henry Leon Parker, 74, was born on Sunday, August 7, 1949 and departed this life on Thursday, August 31, 2023.

Visitation service will be held at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home, 2502 NC Hwy 55, Durham, NC on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.

Funeral service will be held at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 2200 S Alston Ave., Durham, NC on Saturday, September 9, 2023; family and friends visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, funeral service starts at 1:00 pm.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Glennview Memorial Park.

Husband and he served in US Marine Reserve together and became close friends like brothers. He was like an uncle to the children and a brother in-law to me. Always greeted others with respect and a smile. May Theresa and the rest of the family, that loved him be comforted with the love of GOD, family and friends. He loved his family very much. Our sincere prayers and condolences going out to the family and all that knew and loved him. RIP Parker, you touched a lot of lives in a special way.

We were heartbroken to receive the news. We know GOD do not make mistakes. Parker was like a brother to my husband, an uncle to our children and a brother-in-law to me. I am truly sorrow for your loss, Henry was a good man, up standing in the community and among friends. Henry supported his father to the end. He drove friends to doctor's appointments and helped others in need. If there are Corvettes in Heaven, the Lord will place Henry in that group. He admired driving this machine. I've known Henry and his brother Willie for a very long time and became close to Henry because of being a Corvette owner too. We trailed each other to many car shows.
