Obituary For Rudeen Brown Green

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Rudeen Green, who departed this life on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Greater New Birth Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia. Reverend Charles Carr, Pastor, will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Mrs. Rudeen Brown Green was born on April 12, 1967 in Worth County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mary and Robert Lee Brown.

Rudeen attended schools in the Worth County Public School System. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined the Greater New Birth Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia. Rudeen was employed at Pruitt Health Care Nursing Home for twenty years.

Rudeen was united in Holy Matrimony on December 18, 1987 to Bennie Lee Green, Jr. They were blessed with three beautiful girls.

On August 29, 2023, Mrs. Rudeen Brown Green departed this life at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Rudeen was preceded in death her parents, her siblings, Ethel Williams, Mary Williams, Brenda Brown, Glory Brown, Leon Brown, a father-in-law, Bennie Lee Green, Sr., brothers-in-law, Bobby Dassie, James Williams, Roger Jefferson. Rudeen was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marteshia Equille Green on February 1, 2017.

Rudeen leaves to cherish her memories her lifelong husband, Bennie Lee Green, Jr.; her daughters, Shiungela Green (Katrina Tumblin), Crystal Green (Marlo Johnson); grandchildren, Jamereze Hope, Mesiah Hope, Ta’Nijza Hope, Zah’naia Burgess, Dylan Green, Dakota Green; her siblings, Ella Brown (Gary) Jackson, Linda Brown, Christine (Ricky) Adams, all of Sylvester, Georgia, Robert (Toni) Davis of Virginia, Walter Lee Brown of Omega, Georgia; a mother-in-law, Ethel Lee Green; sisters-in-law, Arlena Green, Lisa Green, Cathy Green, Stephanie Green; a brother-in-law, David (Constance) Green; one special friend that she also loved and caller her “Sister”, Cynthia Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

My heart is broken. I worked with Rudeen many years @ Pruitt. She was the sweetest, most soft spoken person I have ever know. Always had a smile on her face and the biggest heart. I will miss her always. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Jacki.

I am deeply saddened to hear of this. I worked with Rudeen for many years at Shaw and we definitely had a great time there. She was a hard worker and an all around good person.
