Mr.Deffery Webb 61, of Hawkinsville GA entered into eternal rest on Thursday August 17, 2023.

Funeral Services for Mr. Deffery Webb 61, of Hawkinsville GA will be held Saturday August 26 ,2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Unadilla, GA. Interment in the New Bethel Crossroad Cemetery, Unadilla GA.

Deffery Webb , also known as β€œSlater”, was born to the parentage of Rosie Ingram and the late Ervin Ford Deffery went to public school and graduated from the Unadilla High School. He then went on to serve his country by joining the military. He served in the Army for four years. Deffery joined the New Bethel Baptist Church at an early age, where he was part of the junior choir. Deffery worked many jobs. This includes working maintenance in Sanitation in Atlanta, Georgia, at Tollerson Lumber in Perry, Georgia, and working at Lineage Frozen Food in Unadilla, Georgia. He also drove semitrucks for many years. Deffery loved helping his family and his community. He was a jokester and loved telling jokes. He also enjoyed fishing. Deffery was preceded in death by his sister, Sabrina Faye Keen, father, Ervin Ford, and other relatives. Deffery was a loving and devoted husband to Mary Ann Cheese Webb for 35 years. Deffery departed this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Memorial Health of Savannah in Savannah, Georgia. Deffery is survived by and leaves to mourn his passing: a loving and dedicated wife, Mary Ann Webb; son, Eric Cheese; mother, Rosie Ingham; one grandson, Trent Aaron; one brother, Keith Brown; two nephews, Marteuius (Jessica) Brown and Jordan Sheffield; two nieces; one great niece, Taylor Brown; two great nephews, J’Corieon Brown and Malek Brown; two godchildren, Teawanna and Keawanna Jackson; three uncles and nine aunts; one brother-in-law, Leon Cheese, one aunt-in-law; special friends, Sam Tate and Greg Collier; and a host of cousins and other sorrowing friends.
