Obituary For Helen Mae Strickland

BIG SANDY--Services for Helen Strickland, 81, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at John R. Harmon Undertaking Co. with Rev. Derick R. Walker as eulogist.

Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.

My sincere condolences and continued prayers goes out to my cousin's. Cousin/Aunt Helen was very Dear to me. She never missed calling my boy's on their Birthday. And she would always send them cards too. She always shared stories of she and my dad growing up. Aunt Helen, wrote letters, sent news paper clippings with informing information. She inspired me to learn more about our family history. She always encouraged me to keep going as I continue to take care of my Dad. Even tho, my dad's memory is not so great. His present state of mind, takes him back to his teenage years. He speaks of his sister Helen, of how they would dance as teenagers. Aunt Helen will be missed. We cherish all the memories of her.
