Mr. Gary Mayfield, age 51, of Norlina, North Carolina departed this life on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina.

A Celebration of life for Mr. Mayfield will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Christian Church 324 Keats Rd. Manson, North Carolina. Reverend Kathard Marks will deliver the eulogy.

Gary leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Traquon Pierce and Lagarius Mayfield; one brother William “Moon” Mayfield of Ashland, Kentucky; two sisters Mary Jones and Jennie Henderson both of Richmond, Virginia; two uncles Henry Louis and Cleo Claiborne; one aunt, Almeta Moore of Chicago, Illinois; five grandchildren, Kyrah Stockmon of Columbus, Georgia, Khiley Terry, Serenity Rollins, Legend Rollins, all of Henderson, North Carolina, King Wilkerson of Soul City, North Carolina; a special nephew Terrance Mayfield (Shelly) two special friends; Kimberly O. Duberry and David Suswell; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
