Mrs. Mary Alice Abron, 83, of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed Saturday, August 12, 2023 in Ft. Mitchell, AL.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon EST, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Burial to follow in Mt. Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, Cottonton, AL. Visitation is Monday, August 21, 2023 from 12-5 p.m. EST.
Mary Abron, affectionately known as “BIG RED”, was born February 17, 1940, in Cottonton, AL to the late Ben Henry and Lucindy Lockhart. She worked various jobs in her earlier years and later became a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who loved flowers and gardening. She had a love for shopping, cooking and was always the life of parties and family gatherings. She was a faithful member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church.
On August 12, 2023, Mary Abron peacefully departed this life and earned her wings.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Otis Abron; four children, Mary Henry, Mack Henry, Delinda Abron Henly and Allen Henry; a host of 20 plus siblings; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one living aunt and host of nieces, nephews other relatives friends.
