Idella “Marie” Frazier, 90 of Bowie, TX went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023.
Funeral services will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 11th, at the First Baptist Church of Bowie, with Pastor Mike Henson officiating.
A private burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.
Marie was born March 23, 1933 in Morgan Mill, TX to Emory and Ruby (Bradfute) Bean. She graduated from Lamesa High School in 1950 and continued her education at Draughn's Business College. She worked in customer service for Lone Star Gas, until her retirement, but continued working as a bank teller for Legend Bank until she was 83 years old.
Marie was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Bowie. She enjoyed painting, sewing, crafts (especially with her sisters) and playing cards with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Bryon Emory Frazier, sisters, Juanita Mayfield, Joy Bean, and Bernice Neagle, and brother LaVan Bean.
Marie is survived by her daughters, Donna Cooper of Bowie and Dianna Reaves and husband Don of Corsicana, TX; grandchildren, Stephanie Mays and husband Joe of Vallejo, CA, Danielle Strickland of Wichita Falls, Kevin Williams and wife Meaghan of Midway, TX and Desiree Cooper of Dallas; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; special “card playing friends”, Shirley Wasson, Gloria Ogle, Linda Proctor, and Martha Largent.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Byron Frazier Memorial Scholarship or Midwestern State University.
