Ms. Annie Pearl Brown made a peaceful transition from labor to reward on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Augusta State University Hospital, Augusta, GA. She joins her parents and stepmother, Lois Brown, and her grandmother, Bessie Brown, that was so instrumental in her upbringing along with six siblings, Charlie Mae Grooms, Barbara Ann Brown, Sharon Brown, Cerena Brown, Teresa Williams and Charles Brown.

Homegoing Celebration will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. at the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church, 5116 Belmont Church Road, Louisville, GA. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home.

Annie Pearl was born in Jacksonville, FL, Duval County, June 17, 1957 to the now late Charles and Mary Walker Brown. In later years she relocated New York. This is where she obtained her high school education. Annie Pearl's family always enjoyed worshipping at the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church and do did she.

It was in 1980 Annie Pearl found herself at a crossroad and decided to give a portion of her life for the defense of her country by joining the U.S. Army. She served in Desert Storm and received several metals until her Retirement in January 5th, 1994. She leaves sweet memories in the minds of her son: Rodriguez Brown, Augusta, GA; her loving sisters and brothers: Rita Brown, Davisboro, GA and Shandell Brown, Newark, N.J., Sherod (Ladon) Brown, Wake Forest, N.C. and John (Deon) Davis, Brooklyn, N.Y: a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.
