Rev. Issac Blair Barnwell, entered into rest, Friday, July 28, 2023, in Augusta, GA. Rev. Barnwell was affectionately known to family and friends as, “Jimmy.”

Rev. Barnwell’s legacy will be cherished by his children, Issac Lavert Barnwell, Savannah, GA, Christopher Michael Barnwell, Kimberly Patrice Burley-Curry, Darius Johnson, Dorothy Burley, Jasmine Burley and Jessica Burley all of Augusta, GA; three brothers, Rev. Mark (Crystal) Barnwell, Arnold Blair both of Augusta, GA., and Ronnie Seibert of Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany; one sister, Linda Hope Barnwell Quinn; two special aunts, Rev. Debra Cooper and Doris Sullivan; and a host of other aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Gardner Grove Baptist Church (3509 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA) with Rev. Dr. Rufus Copeland Sr., officiating. The family will host a repast following the service at the church. A private committal service will be held at a later date.
