To the Frierson Family. May you have comfort in knowing that Joyce was loved by everyone she came in contact with. I was born in Alcolu but left at a very early age. My mother had fond memories of the Frierson family and shared them with me as I grew up in Sumter. I had the pleasure of meeting Joyce at Emanuel Baptist Church in San Jose and we realized that we heard about each other but never met. I will pray for the family in this moment of sorrow.
