Obituary For Darrien White

Mr. Darrien D. White, age 38, of Hampton, GA died on July 13, 2023. Celebration of Life services will be held on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Straight Life COG Pentecostal, 4228 Glenhaven Drive, Decatur, GA 30035. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hills Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday July 25, 2023 from 4-6 PM at Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home Riverdale Chapel, 6580 Church St, Riverdale, GA 30274.

Darrien D’Angelo White (Dee) was born October 17, 1984, to Mr. Stacy J. White and Ms. Yolanda Johnson in Atlanta Ga. He was proceeded in death by Mr. James Johnson Sr. (grandfather), Mr. James Johnson Jr. (uncle), Mrs. Margaret Ree White (grandmother) and Mr. Paul White (grandfather).

On March 9, 2019, Darrien was joined in holy matrimony to Kimberly Ashberry. Between this union they were blessed with two beautiful children: A’Nyria A. Ashberry and Alaysia A. Ashberry.

In 1999 Darrien came to live with his uncle (Romano) and aunt (Tonya), becoming a “big brother” to his younger cousins (Lady, Keke, Man and Josh). Dee attended Lithonia High School, graduating in 2003. He continued his education at the Atlanta Art Institute in Dunwoody Ga., where he pursued an Associate Degree in Graphic Arts. Dee was an amazing artist. In recent years he flourished as a thriving clothing entrepreneur, branding (Sauce Clothing).

Darrien was a member of Central Hope Baptist Church and baptized as a youth, and later joined Revolutionary Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Romano White Sr. Dee was active in both his mothers church (church name) and RMI. His smile would light up any room, his laughter was contagious, he was a talented, he was intelligent; Dee was caring, thoughtful and courageous. His ambition was undeniable. Dee was a remarkable young man with so much life ahead of him. Dee had a philophsy of life that was beyond this world. He is unforgettable!

Dee leaves to cherish his memory, two children, A”Nyria and Alasyia Ashberry; parents Stacy White and Yolanda Johnson, siblings; Roger Miller and Alexis Wynn (brothers), and Shatara Miller (sister), Gertrude Johnson (grandmother), uncle; Romano White (Tishania), aunt, Tonya Hillman, Kimberly Ashberry (mother of children), and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
