Christopher (Chris) Shon Terry, 47, unexpectedly transitioned from this life early Wednesday morning July 19, 2023 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, High Point, NC. Chris was born in Trinity NC and raised in High Point, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Caroline Terry.

Chris graduated from Southwest High School in 1992. After high school, he attended Guilford Tech where he received certification in Automotive Bodywork. He then continued his educational journey at ITT where he earned a degree in Design and Drafting. He worked multiple jobs but loved working with Mark doing bodywork on automobiles.

He is survived by his father, William A. Terry; his brothers, C. Anthony Terry (Tesia Foster) of High Point, NC and Brian Terry of Greensboro, NC; four uncles, Sam (Myrtle) Terry of High Point, NC, Larry Terry of Mt Gilead, NC, Daniel (Debra) Terry of Mebane, NC, Jimmy Alston of Sophia, NC; eight aunts, Carol Terry of Durham, NC, Louise Fryar of Candor, NC, Linda (Vernal) Alford of Greensboro, NC, Brenda (Charlie) Taylor of Durham, NC, Mary (Danny) Quick of Chapel Hill, NC Gloria Jean Maness of Asheboro, NC, Elizabeth (Phillip) Maness of Asheboro, NC, Donna Mae Chilsom of Southern Pines, NC; ten nieces and nephews, thirty-three cousins, many friends and a special friend, Marcus Brown.

Chris was a loving uncle and was always willing to care for his nieces and nephews.

He had a host of friends who he enjoyed associating with when his health would allow, he worked faithfully at Kings Palace helping his dad with the groundwork and keeping the sanctuary clean.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
