Funeral services for Mr. Willie James Jackson, 50, of Sumter, SC, will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 325 W. Fulton Street, Sumter, with interment to follow in Bradford Cemetery. Rev. Dr. James Blassingame is officiating.

Mr. Willie James "PoPo" Jackson was born on January 26, 1973 in Sumter, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Eddie and Ruth Washington Jackson.

His earthly life ended on Friday July 7, 2023 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina.
Willie attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High School.

Willie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Sumter, SC.

He leaves to cherish three brothers, Rozzonald (ChrisAnn) Jackson of Lynchburg, SC, Eddie Michael (Darla) Jackson of Kathleen, GA, and Patrick Jackson of Sumter, SC; two sisters, Marcella Jackson and Runette Jackson of Sumter, SC; nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; four aunts: Theodosia Washington, Frances Mack, Naomi (James) White all of Sumter, SC, Earline Jackson Dale of Apex, NC; uncle, Charlie Jackson of Patterson NJ; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Lee Jackson; one sister, Tammy Jackson; one grandnephew, ShyDarius Jackson.
