Robert Blackwell, Jr., 71, of Richmond, died July 15, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Rachel Johnson Blackwell; wife, Lillian T. Blackwell; daughter, Hope Jones; two grandsons, Raheem Keyon Blackwell and Jayden Garland and sister, Margaret Johnson. Surviving are his daughter, Robin T. Blackwell; two sons, Robert Arq'ue Blackwell and Bobby Garland (Dietra); ten grandchildren; one great grandson; eight siblings, James Blackwell (Brenda), Rebecca Carter (Jerry), Lula Hinton (Ronald), Archer Blackwell (Cynthia), Rachel Blackwell, Gloria Moore, Shelia Moore (Derek) and Elijah Blackwell (Beth); uncle, Walter Johnson (Brenda); two aunts, Corrine Harris and Emma Johnson; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, July 21 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Interment private.
