Dearest Nana and family. I am so sorry about your loss. Lila was more than just my administrative assistant for 8 years, she was my work family, my trouble shooter, my mentor for family issues, and my friend. We worked hard, but also had a lot of laughs and good times. I always admired her for being such a hard worker (worked at least two jobs while I was her boss). She would work for VCU from 8-4 and then go into the supply closet and come out dressed for work at Goodwill. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She will be missed. All my love. To the Family. GOD does not make mistakes. Each of us are his unique flower planted on this earth by him, nurtured, watered and loved. When we have grown into what he would like us to be he plucks us from the garden to bring us close to his heart. Job well do Lila Mae. Your book is closed but new chapters of life were born and generations remain to to run their own race. Family run hard, play hard and don't look back just glance and remember the good times. Most of all take the love of GOD with you.

I extend my deepest condolences to Yolanda and the other family members and loved ones of Lila. There are no words to describe the bright light that Lila was to so many people. Her presence, warmth, support, and laughter could light up a room like no other. I'm thrilled I was able to see her last October at Jaci Miller's birthday celebration. She was as beautiful as ever in everyway. She will live on in our memories as the giant she was when on earth. May she rest in peace and be joyfully reunited with her loved ones on the other side. May her memory be a blessing to all. With love, Karen Legato
