Mother Mary Eliza Page obituary reads as follows:

Mrs. Mary Eliza Page Reaves entered this world on February 4, 1940, as the precious daughter of Mr. Haywood Page and Mrs. Eula McKeller Page in Dillon County, South Carolina. After a life well-lived, she entered eternal peace and rest on July 9, 2023. Affectionately known as "Mot," from a young age Mary found comfort and strength in her faith in God. Mary received her education through the Dillon County Public School System, nurturing her mind and spirit along the way.

In 1957, she began a lifelong marriage with the love of her life, Rev. Maceo Stanley Reaves. They stayed in Dillon County, before embarking on a new chapter in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where they built a loving family. As a devoted wife and mother, Mary's love for her family knew no bounds. She took joy in nurturing and encouraging the unique potential, talents, and hearts of each of her four children. Throughout her life, Mary dedicated herself to the fields of healthcare services, manufacturing and she left a positive impact wherever she went.

Mary’s character was marked by humility, joy, and an untiring care for others. In her leisure time, she found immense pleasure in working with her hands, whether it was tending to her garden, creating delicious meals in the kitchen, or showcasing her skillful sewing talents. Mary loved to sing. She filled the air with songs of praise and worship. Her warm and loving presence left an unforgettable mark on the many lives she touched.

Upon their return to Lake View in the early 2000s for retirement, Maceo and Mary accepted a calling on a new mission, the founding of Praise Tabernacle Church of God. Their vision was to spread God's love and extend practical support to those in the local area who need help and guidance. Mary's heart overflowed with compassion, and she was known for her life of prayer and her dedication to helping those who were hurting.

Mary cared deeply and fully for all those in her life. And, she was incredibly blessed to receive loving care in her final days. To her caregivers: her niece, Mary Kate Page, and her friend, Mary Bethea, our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for the compassion you have selflessly shown toward our beloved.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Maceo, and she leaves behind a treasured legacy in her children: Robert (Sandra) Reaves of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; Jasper Reaves of Trenton, NJ; and Marlinda (David) Ireland of Sparta, NJ. She was preceded in death by a son, David (Mary-Grace) Reaves, Sr. of Egg Harbor, NJ. Daughter-in-law Yvette (David) Hannah-Reaves also preceded her in death.

May her memory be cherished forever by her Grandchildren: Robyn (Calvin) Reaves-Rice, Robert (April) Reaves, Jr., James Reaves, Adrian (Jamie) Reaves, Christina Reaves, Megan Reaves, Desmond Reaves, David Reaves, Jr., Danielle (Louis) Ireland- Imhof, and Jessica Ireland. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister, Ruby Page of Houston, TX and a host of sisters and brothers-in-law, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
