Carl Anthony Sowden, 66 of Arlington, Tennessee died on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at V A Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Monday, December 31, 1956.He was the husband of Jonelle Pegues Sowden.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery located at 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road Memphis, Tennessee 38125. The interment will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Memphis, TN.

My Brother Carl, it has been over a year since we had to say good bye. I'm so blessed to have met you in Germany in 1986 and then reunite 10 years ago. Carl was one of my managers at work. He was my favorite person to see whenever I went to work and he always had a smile on his face. My favorite memory of him was when he waited with me during a birthday party after our work had closed. I had to stay overtime by myself, but Carl sat by me the entire time and we talked about his time in the military, his plans for later in life, and his advice on life. I absolutely miss this man, but know he is in a better place now. ❤️

Uncle, although your last days were in pain, I pray you know you were loved and we are going to be ok. We will miss your presence and how you made us feel whenever you were around.
