Obituary For Mr. Kenneth Alexander

Mr. Kenneth Alexander, of Gadsden, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Kenneth Alexander was born July 23, 1953 to the late Ollie and Carrie Alexander. He was educated at Carver High School until their close in 1971 and then graduated from Emma Sansom High School in 1972. He attended Gadsden State where he received his Radio Communication Degree.

He was most known as the voice of WMGJ Radio (Magic 1240) and he was also known as the best barber in the city of Gadsden.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Williams and Willie Terry and step-son Rolando Phillips.

He leaves to cherish his memory his three daughters: Nishanta (Larry) Baker, KyoQuia (Damion) Davis and Melissa Posey. Also three sons Fernando (Linda) Miliner, Marcus (LaKesha) Posey and Kenneth Jermaine Alexander; sister Rose Floyd and brother Sanford Bankston. 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Special friend (neighbor) Robert Baker, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Monday, July 10, 2023 from 2pm-6pm

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 11,2023 at 2:00 pm at the West Gadsden Funeral Home (Betty D.Robinson) Chapel.

🤦🏾‍♂️Sweet K..aka Jermaine,what can I say? My high school Basketball coach Walker Alexander back in the late 70's,sent me to Gadsden State and told me to find his Nephew Kenny Alexander,I found him,he showed me the way in radio, I credited him for putting me in the radio game,just hate I didn't make it home for his homegoing,thanks for everything man,Rest Easy an Rest in Peace........Smiley-jo ✊🏽✌🏽..Nashville Tn.

Kenny was one of my longtime barbers and an outstanding DJ locally and on the road as a traveling DJ alongside "CAT BALLOU" back in the day. You will be missed by all. REST IN PEACE my brother... Felton Williams
