Ms. Sandra Ingram, 60, of Oak Creek, WI formerly of Phenix City, AL passed Monday, July 3, 2023 in Oak Creek, WI.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, AL with Dr. Nathaniel Dunlap, Jr., officiating. Visitation is Friday, July 14, 2023 from 3-5:30 p.m. EST.
Sandra Lee Ingram was born on May 28, 1963, in Columbus, GA, to the late Jessie Sanders Ingram and the late Curtis Ingram. After bravely battling a very long illness, Sandra departed this life and entered eternal rest on Monday, July 3, 2023.
She attended Mother Mary Mission Elementary School in Phenix City, AL, and Pacelli High School in Columbus, Georgia. Upon graduating from Pacelli, Sandra attended her beloved Auburn University. While at Auburn, Sandra developed a great love of sports, particularly Auburn football. One of the highlights of her time at Auburn was serving as an Auburn University Tigerette, the official hostesses for Auburn football. Through her time as a Tigerette, she developed many enduring friendships and was fortunate to have many experiences which deepened her lifelong love for Auburn.
Upon graduating from Auburn, Sandra began her lifelong career in the Commercial Aviation Industry. She started her career as a Flight Attendant with Delta Airlines. While at Delta, Sandra served in various positions of increasing responsibility, including instructor and leadership roles in Inflight Service Training. After 20 years at Delta, Sandra continued her career at United Airlines, holding leadership roles in Inflight Service Safety and Security. Throughout her professional career, Sandra received accolades, awards, and requests to speak on her expertise domestically and internationally.
Sandra was known for her infectious smile, big heart, optimistic nature, and incredible sense of style. She left an indelible impression on everyone she met. She was also very spiritual, and her faith fueled and sustained her during her long illness.
Sandra was preceded in death by both parents, Curtis and Jessie Ingram, and a sister, Sylvia Sanders Goodwin.
She leaves to mourn her dedicated partner, Bruce Keene; one sister, Ella Sanders; a nephew, Elliott McCray; niece, Erica Goodwin; three aunts, Betty Jean Adams Miller, Geraldine Adams, and Vinice Jackson; one uncle, Ambrose Adams Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends. Sandra was also very fortunate to have been surrounded and supported by a special and dedicated group of lifelong friends.
Sandra will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and colleagues; her spirit will always live in the hearts of those she touched.
