OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Ruby Tezeno Harrison, 79, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Opelousas General Health System. Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawtell, LA.

Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D., will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mrs. Harrison’s memories are being cherished by: her three sons, Andre Harrison, Jeffrey C. Harrison and Joseph A. (Cecelia) Harrison, all of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Michael J. (Sovelia) Tezeno of Lake Charles, LA; one sister, Sandra Tezeno of Lake Charles, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Marshall and Octavia VanWright Tezeno; paternal grandparents, Alcee and Julia R. Tezeno; maternal grandparents, Alexander and Modeste T. VanWright; paternal step grandmother, Cecile Jean Tezeno; four brothers, Eddie Wesley, John Wesley, Charles “Marshall”, and Dudley Tezeno; and two sisters, Gloria T. Ardoin and Janice T. Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
