MS. JENNIFER LEE SALMON – Age 87, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023. She was born December 5, 1935 in LaFayette, Georgia to her late parents, Kinfred Salmon and Lucy Samuels Salmon. She graduated from Tennessee State University with a B. S. Degree in Physical Education. She retired from the Walker County School District where she worked for over 35 years. She was a member of Happy Home Baptist Church, LaFayette, Georgia. She enjoyed traveling, outdoor activities, and collecting antiques.
She is survived by her loving sister, Mary Salmon Suttle of LaFayette, GA; niece, Leslie Suttle Burse; great niece, Samira Burse both of Ringgold, GA; cousins, Reginald Mosley of Chattanooga, TN and Marlene Allen of Chicago, IL; dear friend, Linda McSears of LaFayette, GA; a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.
Graveside Service will be Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:00 A. M. at LaFayette City Cemetery with Dr. Donald White, Eulogist. Her remains will lie in state on Friday after 11:00 A. M. at Willis Funeral Home. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton Georgia.
I remember in second grade you gave me a good paddling for not following directions and being disrespectful. Today, I'm thankful I had a teacher like you. I will never forget you Mrs. Salmon. Thank you for teaching me to be respectful.
