Obituary For Demetrius O'Brain Campbell

On Friday, June 23, 2023, Demetrius O’Brain Campbell 51, of Willow Ct., Martinsville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life. He was Born March 11, 1972, in Virginia the son of Carlton Witcher, and Elizabeth Campbell.

Demetrius attended Martinsville High School, and he was disabled.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Latino Leftwich of Martinsville, VA; his mother, Elizabeth Campbell of Martinsville, VA; father, Carlton Witcher (Betty) of Axton, VA; one sister, Patricia Witcher Jordan (Rodney) of Woodbridge, VA; two brothers, Pastor Stephen Campbell, Sr. (Julia) of Axton, VA, and Gregory Campbell of Wakefield, VA; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Tatum Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 820 W. Sunrise Dr., Dry Fork, VA, with Pastor Stephen Campbell, Sr. Eulogist. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville, VA between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Evelyn, I'm so sorry to hear of your son's Demetrius death. I briefly got to spend time with him and I can truly say he was so down to earth. I got to know your grandson, Barbra's son as well. My thoughts and prayers are with the Campbell's in this sadness that's been afflicted upon the family. Although, death has made it way in the family there's hope. Jesus, very clearly uttered the words that there was going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. So until that time take comfort that his death wasn't in vain. I love you all.
