Mrs. Mary Catherine James, 82, of Phenix City, AL passed Friday, June 23, 2023 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. EST (1:00 p.m. CST), Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Vincent Wilson, pastor, officiating. Interment to follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Friday, June 30, 2023 from 1:30-5 p.m. EST.
Mary James was born on August 30, 1940 in Pittsview, AL. She was the daughter of the late Frank Pritgett and the late Tommie Pritgett both from Alabama. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she served as an usher and a Vacation Bible School member. She worked at Southern Phenix Textile Mill and the Phenix City School District.
Cherishing her loving memories forever is her husband, Mack James, Jr. of Phenix City, AL who is a deacon of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Phenix City, AL.
Daughter: Theadora Baker, Lakesia Hall, late Kimyetta Alexander, and Sheranda Alexander and great grandchildren, Jasmine Snook (Tyler), Treveon Pritgett, Adonis Alexander, Dariyon Alexander, Kayonda Alexander, Jailyn Alexander and great great grandson, Todias Snook.
Son: Mack James, Jr., III; Daughter: Armethea James and great granddaughter, London James.
Son: Alberry James, Son: Jaran James (Kimberly) and great grandchildren, Jailen Mack, Kaleb Walton, Kyliegh James and Mykah James.
Son: Cleveland James (Susan), grandchildren, Kelson James and Ebony James, great grandchild, Kelson James, Jr.
Son: Donald James (Claudia), Children: Dominic James (Priscilla), Dion James (Justina) great grandchildren, Hudson James, Owen James and Dion James, Jr.
Son: Sherman James, Children: Khadijah Payor and Sharmon Pryor and Sidney James, great grandchildren, Ade Pryor, Kannon Rodger, Kali Rodger and Kori Rodger.
