Mr. Travis Battle, 49, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Columbus, GA.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Friday, June 30, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home.
Mr. Travis Battle was born September 7, 1973, in Apopka, Florida to the late Robert C. Battle and Brenda Battle. Travis attended school at Beauregard High school, graduating class of 1993.
Travis was known to most as “Trapp Budd” and “The basketball player Travis Battle”. His favorite quote was “A mind is a terrible thing to waste” “Must Be Nice!!” He was a hard worker; Travis took up a trade in carpentry and enjoyed what he did. His favorite thing was to sit around with family and friends. Travis was known for his contagious smile, and his love for sports (basketball mostly).
Travis is preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Battle and brother, Chanley Pickard, Sr.
Travis is survived by his mother, Brenda Battle; daughter, Monisha Floyd; sons, Trevyon Threatts, Maurice Clovis “LT”, and Zion Kawhi Battle; sisters, Tawanda Battle and Trelleny Battle; brother, Tony Adkins (Regina); sister-in-law, Pamela Pickard, paternal grandmother, Mamie Lee Battle; grandchildren, Ta’mya Floyd and Demarcus Floyd; aunts, Betty Ferrell (Melvin), Jessie Horn (Kenny), Gwendolyn Hicks, Barbra Hodge (Homer), Debbie Hunter (Donald), Sherlean Alexander, Sharon Campbell (Lee) and Ruby Foster (Larry); uncles, Macy Adkins (Linda), Charlie Battle (Christine), James Adkins (Shayla), Stanley Adkins (Melody) and George Battle (Marcine); nieces, Breanna Pickard, Jailen Adkins and Tiara Ivey; nephews, Keandre Pickard, Trenealious Battle, Chanley Pickard, Jr.and Tyler Gordon; a host of cousins and friends.
