Mrs. Frances Inez Andrews of Eatonton, Georgia departed this life Sunday, June 18, 2023, at her residence. She was born on May 31, 1935, in Haddock, Georgia. At the age of nine months, her mother passed away and she went to live in Eatonton with her aunt Mamie Clark, whom she lovingly called Mama. At the age of seventeen, Frances married the late Roy Lee Andrews, Sr. Like her mother, she was blessed with nine children. She was also a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Frances had a significant impact on the people around her. She was known for being direct and
outspoken, never hesitating to share her opinions on people and events with absolutely no “sugarcoating.” Frances was a hard worker; she deeply loved her family, friends, cooking, and gardening. Her infectious personality and humor brought joy to others, and she will be remembered for her quick wit, snappy comebacks, and homemade biscuits.
In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by her children Keith Andrews, Roy Andrews, Jr, and Darlene Crutchfield. Frances leaves to cherish her memories, her three daughters, Clemitha Blue, Sheila (Jeffery) Monroe, and Angela (Zebedee) Hyman, who was also her devoted caregiver; three sons, Darrell Andrews, Larry Andrews, and Stanley (Joyce) Andrews; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, including and ten great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind Louella Nelson, her confidante whom she loved like a daughter; special friends Patricia Farley, Alma Stokes, Ira Sears, and Louise Williams; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Other devoted caregivers were her granddaughters Theresa Bullard, Kendra Harris, Camille Hyman, and great-grandson Gage Marion. Frances will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
